PLA+
Material position
PLA+ is a material direction modified to strengthen toughness and layer adhesion beyond base PLA.Relative to base PLA, PLA+ places more emphasis on a balance of toughness, impact behaviour and layer adhesion; it is commonly selected for printed prototypes that are handled, assembled or iterated repeatedly. It retains the clear layer lines and rigid appearance often associated with PLA while extending everyday prototypes with a more resilient response to handling.Choose a colourBlack
Selection notes
Choose PLA+ by asking whether a project needs a rigid appearance alongside toughness: snap fits, dividers, thin edges and repeated handling make toughness and layer adhesion important considerations. Temperature, diameter, heat resistance and mechanical character together shape the processing rhythm and operating boundary of each formulation.

Material
PLA+ is a PLA-based modified material class. Common formulations aim to preserve PLA's clean printed surface and rigid appearance while improving toughness, impact behaviour and layer adhesion, lowering the tendency of printed pieces to fracture under handling or repeated use. Different modifier systems shift the relationship between strength, heat resistance, processing temperature and shrinkage, giving each formulation its own material emphasis.
